Friend who was deployed
There was a guy I met over the internet and in real life we went out to a wonderful restaurant, however he was deployed to Afghanistan. Today I read that his Humvee or however they call it was hit by a rocket, which put him in a bad situation, a series of emotions ran through me, do I feel sad,sorry for him what do I say to him, I want to call him but not exactly sure what to say, I’m at a loss for words, do we talk about what happened, do we not touch that subject? I am wondering if I will get to see him again or if he wants to see me anymore, maybe it was just a one time thing, how do you talk about things yet don’t have the right words.
Honestly you should write him or whatever way you use to communicate to ask him if hes okay. Go from there.
I think if you ignore it it will make things look bad on your side of the fence. So just start off by asking if hes okay.
His mother made a blog for friends to post to and I guess he reads those in between his medicated state, thank you for the advice I really needed it:)
